California Is Lovely

We drove up along the coast yesterday, for no particular reason (which is absolutely the best reason).  I brought my new camera with me.  We stopped at a seafood shack along the ocean for dinner and I had fish tacos.

Northern California is so lovely, especially when you can get away from the hustle and bustle and the golden sun just sets the whole world aglow.

hurray! We're very happy you got the jeep. Congratulations Roger you did good. Now you can really enjoy your stay in California. All we can see looking out is all
white, snow every where. I'm tired of winter. Love from Gma and Gpa.
Beautiful scenery by the way.

wow! those could be stock photos! So gorgeous. I love how *GREEN* it is, especially after all we've seen here for months is gray and white. Send some CA over to IL!

Wow, Melinda, these are STUNNING photographs. I had to scroll back up to the top just to confirm that they weren't the work of some famous art photographer.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! I really do love my new camera (well, Roger's old camera with a new functioning battery, that is). And I guess I love California sometimes too. :)

Caty - It really does get so green here in the winter, and it's so strange for a Midwestern girl, but so pretty! Pretty soon we'll get our last bout of rain, though, and then everything will slowly die off until the rain comes back in November. Such a strange climate!
